Erik Thompson
Barrister and Solicitor
Erik Thompson is a corporate commercial lawyer with an interest in helping businesses set up for success and assisting them with avoiding or resolving disputes.
Erik holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Copenhagen Business School, and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Birmingham in the UK. He returned to Canada and converted his law degree as a self-taught student. Erik has significant experience in hospitality, residential tenancies, and condominium properties.
Erik completed his composite articles and qualified as a full member of the Alberta bar in 2020. He volunteers regularly in the evening Summary Legal Advice Clinics with Calgary Legal Guidance, and as a peer support volunteer in the Alberta Lawyers’ Assistance Society.
Erik spends his free time practicing combat sports and playing beer league baseball. He speaks fluent Danish, and a little bit of Norwegian and Swedish.
